We will have an initial meeting to think about and discuss your individual needs, concerns and personal situation and consider how we can work together. If we agree to proceed we will meet weekly at a regular time and place. This can be within an open-ended arrangement, guided by you, or more short-term with a recommended minimum of six sessions.
We will then begin to work together, at your own pace, to explore and understand your feelings and behaviour and may look at how your difficulties may have unconscious or unresolved issues from your past at their core. We will strive to find meaning to your earlier, perhaps unprocessed experiences and how they might be revealing themselves as anxiety, depression, anger or in physical symptoms and/or relational problems.
Every thing discussed and revealed will remain strictly confidential, as outlined in the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) code of ethics.
